Sitting Up

Eloise has learned a new trick this week. She is sitting without support. She can't sit up on her own yet, but when we set her there she'll stay for a couple minutes unless she loses her balance. Her every accomplishment is so amazing. She is also eating carrots and green beans now and seems to really like them. Also she loves her new toy, the baby einstein bounce and play that Aunt Erin let us borrow. Thanks.

Recreation

One of our favorite things to do is target practice. We don't get to do it very often, but last week it sure was nice to get out in the sun for a little while. Thanks to our friends who have land, we have a great spot to shoot.
June

We celebrated Brian's birthday on the 12th of June. The rest of the month has been work and then some play with Eloise. Many things have been changing with her. She turned six months, is rolling around all over the place, and started eating rice cereal. Not only does she grow cuter every day, but she is such a joy to Brian and I.

Port Aransas

Time to play catch up since I realized that I haven't written anything since April. I haven't really had much to say but here we go...

At the end of May, Brian's parents treated us all to a family reunion at the Sandcastle Condominiums in Port Aransas, TX. We had a great time. We stopped by the Aquarium in Corpus Cristi on our way down, spent several days lounging around the condos, beach and pool (oh let's not forget the hot tub), and then stopped in Austin on the way home to visit Brian's Grandma Dorothy. Our family group while at the condos included myself, Brian, Eloise, David and Cathy, Heather, Jon, Erin Leigh, Jack, Erin Rollins, Ryan, and Reagan. We all got addicted to killing one another in "Werewolf" and spent the majority of our evenings doing just this. We enjoyed making sandcastles on the beach and boogie boarding was enjoyable even though there was much more "board" than "boogie-ing" since the waves were not very accommodating. The jet skis (or ski-dos or whatever they were called) were a lot of fun. Eloise loved the pool and even though Brian and I both turned pink, Eloise did not get even a hint of a sunburn. Yeah for sunscreen!! We ate lots of great food, took many naps and had fun enjoying each others' company. Got to love vacations.
